POE 2 finally welcomed the much-anticipated 0.2.0 patch on April 4,
injecting new vitality into the game that has lasted for nearly four
months. Its rich update content is worth exploring.
After the release of Dawn of the Hunt, the appearance of the Huntress
and the changes in many equipment and skills in the game have aroused
heated discussions and games among players. However, in addition to
these, POE 2's updates to the core classes' Ascendancy are also worth
paying attention to, including the Warrior's Smith of Kitava, the
Mercenary's The Tactician, and the Witch's The Lich.
Warrior — Smith of Kitava
The Smith of Kitava is a blacksmith who is good at making weapons and
armor in real time during combat. Players can combine this with Forged
in Flame and Coal Stoker to let the reduced resistance suffixes for
damage instead, which allows you to maintain high elemental resistance
while dealing extra damage. This allows you to quickly master the skills
of this Ascendancy Class, which can always be understood in practice.
If you have already completed the upgrade in Act II, it is recommended
to use the Smith’s Masterwork as an ascendency skill to apply modifiers
to your defensive items, but once you have enough modifiers for
equipment using POE 2 currency, you can still have extraordinary resistance without doing so.
Mercenary — The Tactician
Mercenary’s Ascendancy Class The Tactician is like a controller of the
entire battlefield, as its abilities are not reflected in single combat,
but are focused on all-round support and defense. It can place multiple
banners to buff teammates and provide a portion of the mainhand
weapon’s damage to teammates for increased damage. It can also use
skills such as Suppressing Fire and Right Where We Want Them to control
the actions of enemies and give teammates the opportunity to attack
fiercely. This is an Ascendancy for players who like to play in a group.
Of course, its melee ability will be very weak in this case.
Witch — The Lich
The Lich Ascendancy for the Witch class plays the role of a lord. It has
the forbidden ability to use part of its soul to become the caster of a
curse. When you use the Node Effect of Rupture the Soul, there is a 1/3
chance that all enemies killed by your party will explode. If you use
Dominion Over Flesh, it can produce greater power. Eternal Life will
guarantee your health during the curse. As long as your energy shield is
still there, all damage you should have taken will be ignored. You are
also immune to poison and bleeding, which will support you well into the
end game.
You must spend time farming in the first three acts for build the above
three Ascendancy Class. If you want to enter the endgame quickly, you
can unlock many orbs you need at POECurrency.com.
There are big differences between the three Ascendancy Classes released
with POE 2: Dawn of the Hunt, and it's well worth trying them all out.
